One of the world’s leading T20 batsmen, Nicholas Gorn has retired from international duty with a 29 -year -old West Indies.
Trinidadian has played 167 times for the West Indies, but this decision will allow them to focus on playing in the attractive franchise league.
He had already left the ongoing T20 series against England to rest for Lucknow super veterans in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
He also has deals in Major League Cricket (MLC) and hundred in this summer.

“We wish him all the best in the next phase of his journey.”
While the Gorn franchise is not the first player to retire from international in favor of the league – Heinrich Klassen of South Africa What last week – his decision is one of the most important, given his age and profile.
West Indies captain Shaai Hope was asked about Gariban’s decision to leave the England series last week, but said the decision would not affect his future selection.
It is understood that Gorn told the West Indies about his retirement on Monday.
He last played for the West Indies in T20 against Bangladesh in December 2024, but has not played an ODI since July 2023 and does not test.
Gorn is the highest capped waste in T20 International with 106, and is the leading T20i run-scorer with 2,275.
