Bharat Scholar Nigam Limited (BSNLIt is said that there are plans to install additional 4G towers in India. According to a report, the state -owned telecommunications operators aim to improve their network infrastructure by adding an additional one lakh towers after successful deployment of one lakh 4G towers across the country earlier this month. Meanwhile, it is also inviting public suggestions for naming its 5G services before starting the test.
BSNL’s 4G Tower Pareement
In a conversation with New Indian ExpressDr. Chandrashekhar Pemmani, Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications said that the Department of Telecommunications (DOT) will soon demand approval from the cabinet for the expansion of 4G services of BSNL in India.
The government official told the publication, “After successfully establishing 100,000 towers with optimal 4G equipment, we will contact the cabinet and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to approve another 100,000 towers.”
Additionally, the state -owned telecom operator has planned to install more 4G and 5G equipment, in addition to increasing its cash flow by increasing its cash flow. The minister also addressed initial issues which were previously reported in connection with the performance of BSNL’s 4G equipment. The official said the equipment used by the telecom operator is indigenous and adaptation and improvement to reduce issues, emphasizing that “significant” improvements have been made.
“We hope that it will operate near perfection by the end of July or August next year”, Dr. Chandrashekhar Pemmani said.
Naming 5G service of BSNL
Apart from improving its 4G infrastructure, BSNL is also inviting public input to naming its upcoming 5G services in India. In a post on X (East Twitter), the telecom operator said, “Make history. Name the future of BSNL 5G.”
X users can leave suggestions in the post’s comment section, which will be accepted till 5 pm today (13 June). Some of the currently listed top tips on the post include “BSNL Blitz”, “Tej India”, and “BSNL5G Storm”.
