Microsoft is partnering with AMD to work on the next generation Xbox console. The company announced on Tuesday that it had signed a multi-year agreement with AMD for co-development chipset for its slate of future equipment, including the next generation Xbox console. In a brief video declaration, Xbox president Sara Bond also said that the next generation Xbox experience will not be closed on the same store or device, suggested on an open platform that can support steam-like third-party stores.
Next Xbox won’t lock on a store

“It is all about making you a gaming platform that is always with you, so you can play games that you want anywhere you want in devices, you are not locked a Xbox experience on a store or is not tied to a device,” Bound said.
“That’s why we are working closely with the Windows team, to make sure that Windows is the number one platform for gaming.”
AMD Silicon gives powers to the current generation Xbox Series S/X is running on a custom AMD Zen 2 CPU with both console. The new Xbox collaborative Handhelds features AMD Chipset powering the Xbox Ally X and Xbox Ally with AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme and Ryzen Z2 respectively.
