Brad Binder hopes that his solid ninth place in Italian Motogp is the beginning of better things.
The Red Bull KTM Rider was under severe pressure going on Sunday’s main race. His accident at the first corner of the Sprint race on Saturday meant that he went down in five in five, showing only three championship points.
He made a good start from the 15th on the early grid in Mugelo on Sunday and quickly found himself in a controversy for the top 10. He moved to the eighth place in the race before the team’s partner Pedro Akosta.
Brad binder remains positive
The seven -digit binder earned for the ninth place saw him to a 13th position in one place in the title race for 42 points. Mark is running with Markets Motogp Championship At 270 points.
Binder told the KTM website after the race, “It was a difficult race and I am happy to finish. It’s not in any way what I wanted but at least it’s an initial point.”
“The important thing is that I came to know what we need to finish for the next week, and it will be very beneficial if we can get a little more stability.”

KTM boss pleased
Aki Ajo, the boss of the KTM team, was also happy to see a strong finish from the binder.
“It was a solid day for Brad recently after some accidents. It was important to finish it and withdraw some confidence,” Ajo said.
Things did not go well for the rest of the South African party in Italy. Brad Binder’s brother Darin ended out of Moto2 points at 21st position, while Ruché Moodley Moto3 crashed twice in the race.
The next stop on the calendar, the 22-race season is 10th Grand Prix of Netherlands Next weekend.
