Although the department was approved, the National Prosecution Authority is yet to take a decision on the matter.
According to the Mapumlanga Education Department, the female acting principal of assaulting a fellow female teacher has been inspired by any wrongdoing.
The acting principal of Lifalethu Primary School in Embalenhle was arrested in November when he was allegedly kicked his colleague in the waist.
It is alleged that the incident occurred in the school staff when the teacher was quarreling with a member of a community.
‘No enough evidence’
Mpumlanga Education Department spokesman Jasper Zwen said, “The department has investigated the case and the investigation did not find any adequate evidence to confirm the allegations against the acting principal.

The department understood the teacher despite the fact that the police was still waiting for the National Prosecution Authority to take a decision on the case.
The claim against the acting principal was brought to the attention of the department by the National Teachers Association.
Dr. did not affect
DA spokesperson on education in the MPumalanga Legislature, Anserie Weber, said that the party department was not happy about the investigation results.
“The DA finds it unacceptable that the acting principal has not suspended the accused of assaulting another teacher, until the investigation ended.
Wabber said, “With so hard fighting about violence against women and children, it is unacceptable that a female acting principal will attack another female teacher and engage in so much violence.”

“Although the Education Department started an investigation five months ago, the incident should have been given priority and should be resolved very soon. This also raises the question as to why the major situation has not been filled.
“It seems that the acting principal began in 2023 and until November 2024, when the incident took place, the department only advertised the status of the principal. Till date, no appointment has been made.”
Da calls for the result
He said: “If appropriate procedures were followed and when the previous principals retired and the vacancy was advertised, we probably did not have such an incident. This behavior could not be justified in any way and it should result in consequences.”
Sources said the deputy principal was not suspended during a five -month investigation.
Education expert Hendric Makaneta said that if the teacher who attacked was not happy with the result of the investigation, he had the right to challenge it.
