Everton has moved closer to reaching an agreement with Villarial on signing the Under -21S striker Thirno Barry of France.
The 22 -year -old has a £ 34.5M release clause with the Spanish club and is believed to have a step for Mercesis.
Barry scored 11 goals and provided four assistance in 38 matches in the last season as the Villarial Champions finished fifth in La Liga to qualify for the League.
He will include a replacement for striker Dominic Calvert-Lavin Left Everton at the end of his contract This week.
Forward Armando Brooja also got out when his debt was over, returning to Chelsea without any deal.
Barry was born in Leon and left the 19 -year -old French club thinking to play in another division of Belgium with Beveran.
In the next season he moved to the Swiss Super League Club Basel, in a deal about £ 13m before joining the Villarial in August 2024.
