Android 16 QPR1 beta 1.1 roll out for Pixel device with bug fix: All details

Google Rolled out on Wednesday Android 16 QPR1 beta 1.1 for developers and examiners. Initially introduced on the pixel, this update comes about two weeks later when Google released the Android 16 after the I/O 2025 Developer Conference. It is said that to carry the fix for various issues reported by users in previous repetitions. This includes resolutions for a bug, causing navigation button unnatural, fingerprint certification failure and app crash.

Google’s release notes Explain that the new Android 16 QPR1 beta 1.1 update fixes a problem, where the navigation button will become unanswered, reported on Google Pixel 8. This app was asked to be at home screen or app drawer while swipe through pages. If an app was opened, the navigation button would return to normal functionality.

It also cures two conditions resulting in accidents. According to Google, one of the accidents occurred when trying to open the effect in the wallpaper. Another crashed the Settings app while reaching the battery menu.

One of the bugs mentioned in the previous repetitions of Android 16 Beta affected the lock screen, where the date would be cut when using a wide clock style. In another example, the fingerprint certification will fail on a device where many users were registered. It happened in a state of low-power. The users also reported a problem, due to which the search button has a different color when scrolling. All these problems have been fixed with Android 16 QPR1 beta 1.1.

The update also improves the missing approval button in the admin settings, the dark album label that appears in the photo picker and the disappearance of the date on the home screen.
