All-Airland SFC: Dongal request for Sunday quarter-finals turned down

Dongal has said that it is “most regrettable” and “very disappointing” that his request to play his all-a 3rland quarter-finals against Monaghan on Sunday was rejected.

Jim McGinness’s side Monaghan facing the first eight-related double-header at Croke Park on Saturday was done before Dublin before Dublin before Dublin before Dublin before Dublin before 16:00 BST.

Meath takes the gallway, while the holders faced Kerry at the same place on Sunday.

This has been requested to recover an additional day to request Sunday’s stability despite Dongal as there will be a 12 -week ninth championship match in space for the last eight tie county.

It is a schedule that McGinness on Sunday admitted after his initial quarter final win against Luth, “fierce”.

In a statement by the county board, Dongal was important for the decision to deny his request.

The statement said, “In this year’s championship, no other county has played several matches as Dongal. To reduce physical and mental demands, those eight games have been played within an 11 -week window.”

“Match number nine is less than 12 weeks of dairy in the initial round on 6 April this Saturday.

“On that basis, we considered the statement to take an additional day’s recovery time for our players at the end of this week,” the statement continued.

“Dongal concluded that it is most regrettable and very disappointing that our request has been rejected. We feel that the welfare of our players was not considered sufficiently in the decision making process.”
