Apple reportedly unveiled a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) feature for its app store in the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025. According to the report, new features, dubbed app store tags, are a new way for users to discover new and relevant apps within the market. Cupertino-based tech veteran reportedly stated that these tags would be based on features and functionalities found within different apps, making them more useful for users. The company is asked to use the in-house AI model to create these tags.
According to a techcrunch ReportThe iPhone manufacturer announced a new facility during a session about changes in the App Store Connect in WWDC 2025. The app store tag is called the new label that will be made using the large language model of Apple.
These AI models will allegedly collect data from various sources app StorePlaces that are usually pushed deep within the app listing page. Some of these are asked to be added to the app details, app category, metadata and even screenshots.
