Selection Chairman George Belly said, “Maneus can be a truly important member of this team in his best performance. He understands that his output has not been at that level, or he hopes,” the selection chairman George Belly said.
“We will continue to work with him. On the areas of his sports we feel that he needs to find it again. We will keep giving importance to his skills and hope that he should work positively through the challenge.”
Meanwhile, Smith disliked her right little finger on three days of the final at Lord’s.
Although he has avoided surgery and traveled to Caribbean, he should wear a splint for eight weeks, but may return to Granada in July for a second trial.
“Steve needs more time to heal the wound, so we will give him another week’s rest and then assess his functionality,” Belly said.
“We have decided to give Josh and Sam an opportunity to change Steve and Maarnas. We are excited to see them that they got a chance to pursue their flooding test career.
“In his only occasion in Test cricket, Josh was outstanding in Sri Lanka, which had great intent and ability to pressurize the opposition.”
