I was really eager to run byd shark. This is South Africa’s first plug-in hybrid Bakkie. It creates stupid power, and I wanted to see if all the propaganda were appropriate.

Clever battery technology

value for money
Byd Shark is priced at R959 900. If you look at the proposal at this price point, it is not a bad deal. If you are still focusing on having an out and out war with Ford Ranger Rapter, it is more expensive in some R300 000 at R1 270 000. It is a large part of a large part of change. Especially when you consider that byd shark comes with five years/100 000 km vehicle warranty, eight-year/200 000 km battery warranty and five-year maintenance scheme. This does not provide some other manufacturer standard on its bakkies.

The byd shark is well appointed with a premium feel interior. The quality of the ride is fine, if there is not a little firm for a luxury book. It is faster on the road compared to the Ford Ranger Rapter, and is now something else on the market.
But you cannot dismiss the sound and feeling that the Ford Ranger brings to the rapter table. And if the hardcore of-roading, or high-speed dirt is your thing, then it is still different to defeat. You know it, I know it, and byd also knows it. Shark is more city sleeler than Cowboy. It is up to you who you are. And which sist you want.
