Capcom on Thursday shared snipites of the resident of Evil Requiem Gameplay at Capcom Spotlight Livestream, highlighting the first and third person’s approach to the survival horror title. The developer talked about the concept of the game, characters and settings during livestream. Resident Evil Requuim was revealed at the Summer Game Fest earlier this month and is set to launch in 2026.
Resident Evil 9 New Gameplay revealed
During the five -minute ‘message’ observation Capkom Spotlight Livestream, Resident Evil 9 Director Koshi Nakanishi said that the main concept for the game was “drug addiction”. Livestream showed the first person’s gameplay, with the game hero Grace Ashcroft, a light, passing through the dark corridors. We also see him searching for a manner in the first person, in which a handgun is equipped.
Nakunishi also explained the decision to go with a new hero and said that the team thought of returning to the resident Evil 6 in the resident Evil 6.
“We always thought of making Leon a hero, but it is difficult to make a horror game around him,” Nakanishi said. “He will not jump on something like a bucket falling. No one wants to see Leone afraid of everything. So he is really a bad match for scary.”
Resident Evil: Request will also allow players to switch between the first and third person’s approach. Manufacturer Masato Kumazwa said the first person brings the camera “stressful, realistic” gameplay, while the perspective of the third person is in favor of more action-oriented approaches.

Resident Evil 9 will include FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft as a hero, who returns to Ramoon City to investigate a series of mysterious deaths.
