Carlota Siganda ended a stroke clear of a stroke of Choi Hi-Jin to claim his first LPGA Tour victory at Meizer LPGA Classic in Michigan.
Spaniard proved the last two holes in the Blythefield Country Club to finish five-under-Burbar 67 at 16, in the 17th for his player from South Korea, to finish 167.
35 -year -old Siganda, whose LPGA tour came within a month of each other in October and November 2016, said: “It’s amazing, of course, after all these years.
“I knew that I could do this, but obviously once the year continues and you start growing up that you start doubting yourself.”
At the beginning of the fourth round, part of the six-way tie for the lead, Siganda also closed Somi Lee, who finished third in 14 under.
Meanwhile, Lexi Thompson finished below 13 with Celine Boutre and Nanna Corstz Madsen after leaving shots on the 16th and 17th hole, while England’s Bronte laws were in a tie from 12 to seventh place.
“I love to come here,” Siganda said, who has also won eight times on the Ladies European tour.
“It reminds me of where I am from in the northern part of Spain. Very similar. Many trees, peaceful. I love golf courses. Five equal fives, you can work hard here.”
