The Comrade Marathon Association (CMA) announced on Wednesday that entries for 2025 Comrade Marathon were officially open to all the candidates.
There is an entry cap of 23 000 runners and the entry period will run from 13 November 2024 to December 9, 2024 or to reach the entry cap.
Th reputed ultramenthan, known for its challenging pathway, inspires thousands to compete, on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
According to a press release by the CMA Marketing and Communications Manager, the delin cools, runners around the world are invited to run the historic race, traditionally attracts athletes from around 75 countries.
The next year’s race will be the 98th edition, and will spread about 89 km between the cities of Petermaritzburg and Durban. This will be the 49th down run, which will begin at the Petermaritzburg City Hall and end at Durban’s People’s Park.
Cools said that participants can register online on the official Comrade Marathon website. www.comrades.com Or through the comrade app.
Initial registration is encouraged to secure a location in the race.
The entry fees are similar to 2023 and 2024 races. The entry fee is waived for holders of 25 or more colleagues:
- South Africa 2025 entrances – R1 200
- The rest Africa 2025 entry R2 000
- International 2025 Entrances- R4 500
