Liverpool’s move for Bayer Lever Kusen Playmaker Florian Vartz is on an advanced platform, with clubs in discussion on the structure of a transfer that may be worth £ 114m.
Reds presented a third formal bid for the German playmaker last week, priced at £ 100m and another £ 14M add-on. If completed, it will sign the £ 75M record of Captain Virgil Van Digk’s club in 2018.
Sources have told the BBC Sport that the talks are now focused on the structure of the final details of the transfer, with the value of the ad-on and how much they are obtained. Leverkusen gave importance to a midfielder of about 126 meters.
The 22 -year -old Vartz has made it clear that his priority is to go to Enfield after interested in Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
He made his debut for Leverkusen at the age of 17 and scored 57 goals in 197 matches for the club.
He helped Bundesleiga win for the first time in 2024 and scored seven goals in 31 demonstrations for Germany since he made his national debut in 2021.
Liverpool has already signed a German club player in this summer, with a full-back Jeremy Frimpong in the £ 34M deal.
