Google tests AI-operated audio overview in search results for some questions

Google on Friday introduced a new experimental artificial intelligence (AI) feature at Khoj Labs. In dubbed audio overview search, the feature generates short podcast-style AI audio conversation for some search query. Mountain view-based tech veteran says that this feature is operated by one of the Gemini models, and it will automatically appear where its system determines that the audio overview will be helpful. In particular, since it is an experimental feature, it is only available to select users at this time.

Audio overview is coming for search results

One in blog postTech veteran said that he has launched audio overview as a new search labs experiment. Users who want to try it must first enroll for laboratories, and then activate the convenience. Gadgets 360 staff members were not able to spot the feature, so it is probably being tested with the most users’ suit. While the company did not clearly mention it, this facility can be available only through Google Application.

Audio overview was previously introduced last year AI-Notebooks, within the platform taking notes operated. This feature can generate a small audio conversation between two AI hosts, which is a styling in the fashion of a podcast. Both hosts speak in a human-like manner and discuss various aspects of the subject.

After Notebooklm, Tech Giants also Recently added feature to Mithun appNow, with another expansion, the audio overview will be able to generate short audio discussions on some search results in Google Search. The company is pitching the feature as a hand-free method to know about unfamiliar topics while doing multitasking.

Depending on a screenshot shared by Google, when a qualified user types a search query for which audio conversations are available, they will see an option called “Search Labs | Audio Overview”. The new box will also have a basic media player with the option to speed up play/poses, volume control, progress bar and audio.

Under the media player, users can see the list of individual pages along with the number of websites used to create audio observation. Google says that users can tap on these web pages to learn more about the subject.

Depending on their experience, users can also up/down each audio discussion, as well as go to search labs to do the same for the entire use.
