Harry Darling: Norwich City Sign Defender after exiting Swanasi

Norwich City has signed the defender Harry Darling after rejecting a new deal introduced by the championship rivals Swanasi City.

The 25 -year -old, who started his career at Cambridge United, has agreed to a three -year deal at Cairo Road with a 12 -month option.

He is going to sign a second signature by Canary since the appointment of new head coach Liam Maning after goalkeeper Dan Grimshow.

Darling spent three seasons with Swanasi, scored 112 demonstrations in all competitions and scored 12 goals.

He said: “I am happy, it is coming after a lot of conversation. I am finally happy to solve it and I am eager to start.

“As in charge of Liam, I worked with him at MK Dens, so I did not need to convince much about the style of playing. I really enjoyed working with him last time.”

Norwich Sporting Director Ben Nooper said: “We are absolutely thrilled to bring the deal to the line. There was definitely a big competition for Harry’s signature, so we are happy to secure his services.”

Earlier, in a post on X, Darling told Swanasi fans that he was going with “heavy heart”.

He said: “As I move forward in the next chapter of my career, I will always reflect warmly on my time as a jack, and I thank you for your support in good times and evil over the years.”
