The 3.0-Leir Lion Turbodisal V6, operated by a separate version of the V6 engine, will go on selling in super duty 2026 and has not yet been approved to South Africa.
While only next year is ready to go on sale, Ford has revealed the first unknown powertrain details of the first ranger super duty as well as the newcomer price tag in Australia.
In April, not only the most working-focused ranger is shown as the first non-F-series to wear super duty, the newcomer slots between the “regular” ranger and F-150 in the Bakki line-up of Blue Oval, the newcomer slots between the Ranger and F-150, below the bottom for now.
Difference
Described as “the objective-manufactured truck designed for heavy-charge use”, super duty will initially be introduced as a chassis cab in single, super and double cab bodystays and as its details, a factory is said to be without fitting of loadbox.
A traditional Australian -style steel tray, however, may be, but only as an alternative additional.

As depicted by the April launch model, however, super duty equipped with a factory loadbin will be offered, but only in the year later and only the XLT trim designation for double cab is being implemented.
Compared to standard ranger, external changes of super duty include a steel front bumper, a new grill, a new bone, a new bonnet consisting of super duty letters, comprehensive mirrors, a standard snorkel and a steel underbody protection bashplate.
Below, super duty sports are wrapped in a strong chassis, modified suspension, a long distance 130-liter fuel tank and unique 18-inch wheels wrapped in a 33-inch normal Garaber all-liven tires.
Hardcore fundamental
So far, 4 500 kg to rating, 4 500 kg gross vehicle mass (GVM) and more than 8 000kg are known for gross joint mass (GCM), new information confirms a wading depth of 800 mm of 800 mm vs. normal ranger, as well as the following payload rating:
- Single cab chassis cab: 1982 kg;
- Supercab Chassis Cab: 1 896 kg
- Double Cab Chassis Cab: 1 825 kg
The separate -different is different, ground clearance rating at 299 mm for single, 297 mm for supercab and 295 mm for double cab.
V6 separated
In addition to only the interior change, the 12-inch sink 4A has been integrated into the 4A infotainment system due to the display, as well as the super duty script, front, Ford has provided the 3.0-Leir Sher lion turbodiesl V6 as a Sola engine option, but has been detained.
In April, reported as the only option for super duty, the unit now produces the same 154kw, which is in the form of a BI-Turbo 2.0-liter panther engine instead of its Regualr 184KW, but maintains the same 600Nm torque figure.
As usual, the only transmission option is a 10-speed automatic co-development with General Motors.
Price signal
On the color front, five hues are provided: Arctic White, Command Gray, Shadow Black, Aluminum Silver and Super Duty-Exclusive Earthquaker Tan. A sixth, traction green, later rolled to the year.
Later with double cab-keval XLT, a three-model super duty range, with standard Australian-Bazar Ranger, will be produced in Thailand instead of Silverton Plant outside Pretoria, where South African-Spec Ranger has been created.
For example, there is no plan to bring Ranger Super Duty soon to the market.
