Circuit Boss Tobby Ventter says that the SA government is not following the set example all over the world.
South Africa is close to a step to host a Formula One Grand Prix. But Toby Ventter, owner of Kayalami Grand Prix Circuit Circuit, has put a sponge on the ceremony, citing a lack of commitment to the government.
Ventter announced on Wednesday that the FIA approved the proposed upgradation that Kayami needs to host a Formula One race for the first time since 1993 and has been given a three -year window to comply. He is reassuring the upgrade, for which the circuit will legs the bill- the R90- and the R180 million is expected to be between- and the set to take three months, can be completed before the end of the year.
But Ventter reduced the prediction of a date for the big return of F1, saying “the government needs to join with Formula One, to do as they do worldwide”. This, according to the Kayalami Boss, is something that is required in addition to the Bid Steering Committee founded by Sports, Arts and Culture Gateon McKenzi, which must consider dialects for the F1 race.

Government should attach ‘
“The bidding committee is doing its work and we cannot speak on its behalf. But unfortunately, the government will have to attach a Formula One Map to go ahead,” Ventar said.
“This has not happened yet. Other countries have led worldwide, where the government has paid a deposit amount to Formula One Management to enter a memorandum. We are waiting for the government to play its role.”
Other local dialects are expected to come from Cape Town and Vakanda Smart CityWhile Rwanda has also expressed her intentions to be the first person to bring F1 back to Africa.
“Kayalami is the most recognizable and event-redi circuit on African confidence. No other circuit on the African continent can claim an excerpt from Kayalami’s motorcysts history,” Ventator said.

Motogp to follow later
“From the engineering point of view, Kayalami requires relevant minor technical changes to meet the rules. I am confident that this can be done within three months without disrupting the busy calendar of the track.
