The Mistral Code, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding assistant, was introduced by the company on Wednesday. The Paris -based AI firm highlighted that the platform was designed for enterprise developers, and is designed to help increase their productivity when writing and deploying the code. The platform is powered by the company’s in-house AI model, and provides flexibility to make the enterprises adapt to their needs. The coding comes exactly two weeks after the Devstral is released by Mistral, its open-source coding agent that can complete the software development-related tasks.
Mistral Code is powered by four AI models

The Mistral Code Open-source project continues, and the company claims that it comes with granular control and transparency that require enterprises. It is currently available as private beta on jetbrains ids and vscode, and will soon be made available soon.
The Mistral Code comes with several characteristics such as an integrated growth environment (IDE) assistant that exists within the virtual system, options for local deployment and support for enterprise tools. The platform is powered by the four in-house large language model (LLMS).
Codestral will enable the help to complete the code while Codestral Embed will allow it to find and recover the code. Similarly, Mistral Code will use devstral for agent-based coding, and will use Mistral medium for all types of chat help. Additionally, enterprises will be allowed to properly tune or post the AI model on private repository, or to disturb light variants depending on their needs.
In particular, coding assistant is well aware of more than 80 programming languages. It can also use logic for files, guit differences, terminal outputs and issues. Mistral It is currently testing the platform for additional capabilities such as writing new modules, updating tests and executing the shell command. These capabilities are asked to come up with configuble approval to the developers to be in charge.
Mistral highlighted that many enterprises have already adopted and deployed the Mistral Code within their organizations. These include Spain -based bank Abanka, French National State -owned railway company Society Nationley Des Cames Dey Frances (SNCF), and French multinational IT giant Capgemini.
