In addition to posting benefits throughout the year, the local market has not experienced recession in sales for nine consecutive months.
The up speed in the sales of new vehicles in South Africa showed no one in June, with a sixth consecutive increase in several months, and was ninth from October last year.
3 000 sales crossed
Repeating the results of May, Toyota Hillux once again terminated the month as the country’s best -selling vehicle with its hardcore rival, Ford Ranger, but this year with the sale of more than 3,000 units for the first time.
Fining second with 3 035 offset of 2 318 vs. Hils, Ranger defeated Toyota Corolla Cross and Volkswagen Polo Vivo, whose 2 132 and 1962 related yoga gave him third and fourth place.

Completing a single division in producing areas, Hyundai Grand i10 dropped a position at 1 484 to seventh place, while Suzuki Swift recorded the biggest decline of five places from May, which finished eighth.
Since last month, GWH Haval Jolian ranked ninth at 1 116 and Suzuki Fronx 10, while rounding the top 10 in the swap since last month.Wan To collect the four -digit data only at 1 112 as another vehicle.
Month expansion
The data from the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (NAMSA) of South Africa for June saw a total increase of last year’s 40 621 to 47 294 to 18.7%, winning a significant base in the closest to 50 000 marks from 49493 of March in May.

Overall, the sales of the dealer sold 85.9% or 40 621 out of 47 294 vehicles, the rest divided as follows:
- Rent Agencies: 8.2%
- Corporate fleet: 3.2%
- Government: 2.7%
Nominal response
Namsa said, “The sales of the new vehicle for the first half of the year were now 13.6% ahead from the 2024 period, supported and large by an influx of cheap imported models,” Namsa said.
“Encouraged in domestic new vehicle sales, has been at profit since the fourth quarter of 2024.
“This success was underlined by a combination of favorable economic basic things, which reduced the interest rates in May after the South African Reserve Bank cut 25 base point cuts, which is still an actdian inflation background and better credit access to the market.”
In the same report, Namsa CEO Mikel Mabasa commented, “The first half of 2025 shown how our domestic market is really flexible and responsible. Positive economic basic things supported strong consumer demand, the motor vehicle sector has helped to give influential development between global disturbance”.
However, the association warned that the second half of the year would present a more complex picture, while saying, “While domestic sales are likely to remain strong in the near period due to the interest rate cut and the impact of flexible consumer spirit, consumers continue to increase the demand for inexpensive and high-determination models.”
Top 10 Best-Sailing Marks replaced
Out of the top 10 best selling brands, only the top three stable, Toyota finished first at 11 690, second at Suzuki 5 221 and Volkswagen third at 4973.
From May in an inverted, Ford finished space with Hyundai with a sale of 3 058 vs. 2905, while GWM 2 finished sixth with his hardcore rival, 2 101 from Chery at 288.
Keeping in mind its eighth place, Isuzu’s 2 087 saw it ahead of Mahinda’s 1 483, the biggest wonder returned to the top 10 with sales of 1 349 at the cost of Renault, Kia and Nissan in the top 10 of BMW.
