Lando Noris won the Austrian Grand Prix from Oscar Piastry 1-2 in the Red Bull Ring on Sunday.
Charles Lakeler and Louis Hamilton’s Ferris finished third and fourth as Noris closed the difference on piastry for 15 points in the Drivers Championships.
This was McLaren’s first success in the Spielberg track since the David Coolthard Way returned in 2001.
Noris left from the pole and despite being constantly pressed by his team partner for his third win of the season.
The Britain also put his Canadian devastation behind the last time when he collided with the Piastry car at the closing stages that failed to finish in Montreal.
“It was a difficult race, pushing all the way,” Noris said.
He said: “Very hot, tired, but correct results, a 1-2.

The four -time world champion Max Verustapen Kimi Antonally crashed in the initial stage after a confrontation with Mercedes, when the young Italian crook tires were closed.
