Every manager wants patience – and some receive it. But the cleans certainly got more than Michael Belle and Jiovan Van Bronx.
Eventually, none of them faced defeat by the second-Tier Queen Park to ignore the Scottish Cup house defeat.
Resisting that their squad needs time to develop and develop, a regular escape of the cleans and the passage of time did not change its views on it.
“It is a pity that the story stopped, that the board did not have patience, or perhaps some fans heard too much,” he says.
“There are other clubs where there is a difficult moment and everyone sticks together because everyone knows the story, how to work inside the building, and they continue and they are successful later.
“In three or four windows, we could close the differences (for celtic) with the good development of the players, but the decision is made and you need to accept it.”
As the Rangers tried to harm the swing, the work of cleans was to complete the Celtic, but with a low budget.
Was he initially misled that what money could be available for him?
“No, not misled, but I now understand why,” they say. “Because some people were already thinking of selling the club and selling their shares.
“I think you need to go back a year ago. The story was that the club was no longer financially durable, so it was the story of the transfer window.”
Clement says that he and the recruitment team were told that whatever money they could spend, they were able to cut the sales of the player and to cut the salary spending.
But, despite taking “more than 35%” from the wedge bill, an aging squads, contracts are ending, and lack of attractive young talent, meaning that the yield proved to be low.
“You get money by bringing young players, improving them and selling them,” called Clement. “This was the idea. There was no more road to take.
“Finally, it is about deciding what the idea we were working with. You need patience to make it or you need to spend money. This is one of the two.
“Without one of two, this is an impossible task.”
