Protiaz on Saturday managed to capture his nerve to defeat Australia to win the 2025 ICC World Test Championship (WTC) at Lord’s, England.

A second innings between Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma 147 partnerships were important in 27 years in the proteases claiming their first trophy. 282 runs were needed to win, Proteus lost one initial wicket of Ryan Ricelton, but Vian Mulder’s positive 27 indicated that was in favor of the batting side in Lord’s in day 3.
Captain Temba Bavuma was left early in his innings by Steven Smith and despite suffering from hamstring injury, he scored 66 and made his second life.
On 4 on the day of WTC final, Protease required just 69 runs to win with eight wickets in hand. Bavuma, Triston Stabs and Markram were wickets to fall, but David Bedingham stood long to guide the team to win with an unbeaten 20.
