Springbox Player Rating: Who fired, flopped

Springbox received its 2025 season for the right start with a 54–7 win over Barburion on Saturday.

Springbox demolished the barbaric 54–7 at the DHL Stadium on Saturday, 28 June 2025.

Rassie Eramus and Boks have a lot to celebrate their spectacular performance to claim their Thir serial Qatar Cup. These are the players who stood outside and at the same time there were little less with some stars.

Springbox who opened fire

Lood De Jager – 9/10

Lood has not left a step despite not playing for springbox in about two years. Lanki Bok Lock made a huge carriage of counting, which ease the advantage line. He was also a solid line-out option for defensive and springbox.

Vincent Tashitashuka – 8.5

What debut The elite Sharks Flancker made two attempts to shut down a well -round performance in their first Springbox Test. Tshitshuka was on agility and skills complete performance. Meanwhile, he was a solid third choice in the line-out.

Kurt-Li Ande-8

Welcome, arendse. Fast and skilled Springbox Winger reminded Bulls and SA Rugby what we have been remembering since leaving for Japan. Arendse fulfilled the attempt of a beautiful well -working team in the corner and there was a continuous danger with the ball in hand. He defeated defenders in Will with his fleet-foot steps and lightning speed.

Chessalin Kolbe – 9

The 2024 SA Rugby Player of the Year reminded us all why he was honored with this honor. Kolbe was one of the stand-out boxes. His attempt in the corner was just the beginning of another world -class performance from Kolbe. He was excellent in the air dominating air fighting under wet conditions. Kolbe was defensively perfect, putting in a solid hit one after another. He added a memorable jump on Ricky Recite in the second half and there was a threat all afternoon.

Disqualified performance

*Please note that these players did not pay badly. They were not exceptional as the rest of the pack in a broader performance and dominated springbox performance.

Jean Klein – 6/10

He did not do much wrong, but he was certainly overshadled by his bok lock team Mate, Lud. Klein struggled to go to the advantage line or make major tackle. The line out was solid at the time and he did what he wanted, but did not stand outside.

Morne Van Dane Berg – 6.5/10

He provided quick distribution from the base of the Rook. However, he certainly did not knock the door of the selection down and was excluded by his replacement, Cobus Renach.

Which springbox stood with you? What do you think it should be abandoned and who should change them in the next Boks test?
