East Kaiser Chief Captain Patrick Mabedi Widely considered one of the best and most difficult defenders in the history of the premiere soccer league.
Former Malavian International played an important role in the early 2000s when Amkosi enjoyed significant domestic success.
Under the guidance of coach Ted Dumitru, Mabedi and Fabian Macarthi formed a malignant defensive partnership, which helped Glamor Boys claim their first title in 12 years. Kaiser Chiefs won the back-to-back league titles in 2004 and 2005, roughly due to the best defense in the league.
Mabedi spent eight years with Kaiser Heads and captained the team during his most successful period. He left the club in 2006, performed over 200 for the Naturina-based side, and Moroka joined the Swallo. For his country, Malawi, he earned 21 caps and scored five goals representing the national team.
After leaving the Kaiser Heads, Mabedi infected in coaching. He became the head of youth development in Moroka Swallo and served as an assistant coach of Muhasin Ertugril in Mapumlanga Black Aces.

In June 2017, MABEDI was appointed as Assistant Manager Kaiser ChiefOn April 23, 2018, he was nominated for the remaining season. However, in early December, he was relieved from his duties as an assistant coach of the team after the end of the head coach’s contract.
In the summer of 2019, he played the role of assistant manager in Black Leopards under Lionel Sokoia, but the pair was rejected from his posts on 17SepTember, 2019.
In 2023, MABEDI was appointed as the head coach of the Malawi national team, but was removed by the team’s poor results a year later.
