Winter Olympics 2026: Dods and Muts made places on gold

Jennifer Dods Back-to-back is aiming for the Winter Olympic gold medal, with curling teams the first officially confirmed team GB athlete for Milan-Cortina 2026.

And, with a silver medal on his debut, Bruce Mut and his rink have targeted a better going to Italy next year.

With Mouat, Grant Hardy, Bobby Lamy and Hammy McMillan Junior, was narrowly beaten by Sweden in the 2022 finals.

Dods topped the podium for the first time in 20 years with Ev Muirhead, Vicky Wright and Haley Duff in Beijing.

This time, she will join by Rebecca Morrison, Sophie Sinklair and Sophie Sophie Jackson.

Dods told BBC Scotland, “Winning gold last time was a dream true, so I am excited to go back there, obviously with a new team,” Dods told BBC Scotland.

“We are making a lot in the last few sessions and I am excited to see where our performance can go in the next eight months.

“I have known a couple of girls for a long time, but that’s it, we probably had to build that teamwork, forming friendship and I feel that we have really done well. I think you can see in our performance, our team work has improved, and a large part of it is to understand and understand each other.”

Mutt’s Scotland Rink won the World Championship Gold for the second time this year, European champion on four occasions.

Now Edinburgh Karler wants to add Olympic Gold to his list of achievements.

“We were close last time,” he said. “It came down in a case of centimeters in the finals. It was difficult at that time, but we have really bouncing back and got our two world championships and now we have got 10 Grand Slam titles, so we have a lot of speed.”
