Women’s Nations League: Northern Ireland and Ireland Republic discovered play-off opponents

Northern Ireland women nations league promotion/allegations would face Iceland in play-offs, while the Republic of Ireland was prepared against Belgium.

The Ireland Republic is in play-off after being out for the top position in Group B2 and North Ireland and is expected to reach the top level for the first time after finishing second after Poland in Group B1.

Northern Ireland will host Iceland – who finished third in Group A2 – in the first phase, for Belgian in his opener at home with the Republic of Ireland.

Carla Ward, head coach of Republic of Ireland, said, “We know that Belgium women’s football has a very good team with a strong history, so it will be a difficult challenge for us, but one that we are excited to take.”

“Five out of five of our six groups in the Nations League are winning and ending with a very good performance against Slovenia, we are building the game by day -day sports, games.”

Finland will face Denmark and the Czech Republic will play Austria in the other two relationships.

The fixtures will be held in October, it should be confirmed yet with further information.
